36 week update - It's beginning to look alot like Christmas

What's new? With the year we've had, it's been so hard to get into the Christmas spirit. We've made the very difficult decision to permanently close our Mt. Pleasant restaurant. Last day open will be tomorrow! I'm so proud of Mathias for taking on this venture. It certainly wasn't easy and he did it in the hardest year imaginable for restaurants. Any other year, I think this could have worked out. But, you live and you learn! We do have other plans for Pep Rolls on the horizon and it's time to adapt.

How do you feel? This baby is still high up! I have had 2 friends due around the same time as me that have already given birth. I definitely don't think I'll go into labor early...it's not my MO. I'm starting to get pretty uncomfortable and it's getting hard to breath. I'll be so happy when this baby drops a little!

Up next: I somehow fit 3 car seats across my backseat! I was worried they wouldn't fit and bought Grace the slimmest car seat on the market. I installed the infant seat and it is a tight squeeze but we got it in there. Unfortunately my car is now in the shop until next week. For some reason, my car decided now would be a great time to start destroying alternators. I've had 2 new alternators installed in the last 7 days, so it's in a different shop to see if it's a computer/electric issue. When it rains it pours!!! This has put a hold on the upstairs reno, and it's still sitting with no flooring and closet half-completed. We DID get the mini-split installed (an outsourced project or it probably wouldn't be finished either), so we are at least making some progress.

Packing for the hospital: For some reason, I thought I had more time than I do. But at this week's appointment, my doctor encouraged us to set an induction date of 1/14 (2 days before my due date) since she is on-call that day. My body didn't respond well to being induced at 40 +6 with Edith, so I'm not convinced it'll respond well to an induction at 40 -2. We don't have to make the final decision until week of, so we may be holding off making that call. I'm physically uncomfortable, but I want to avoid a C-section. So if it means being uncomfortable for a little while longer, that is worth it to me over the convenience of having her deliver. At any rate, I should probably pack a hospital bag. I'll definitely need to refer back to my old post: What I packed in my hospital bag
